Cycle Racing in Feilding

The Feilding Amateur Athletic Club was compelled to abandon its athletic meeting fixed for Wednesday evening owing to lack of runners. Cycle races however were conducted with the following results:— One-mile Handicap: Essex (P.N.), , 120yds, 1; Astin (P.N.), scr, 2; R, Kitchen (Feilding), 100yds, 3. Time, 2min 40sccs. Three-mile Handicap: Astin, scr, 1; Essex, 2; Kitchen and A. Eade, deadheat, 3. Time, Bmin 53sees. One mile, for boys: Naylor 1, Lamberton 2, Wilkins (P.N.) 3. Time, 3min losecs. Half-mile, for boys: Ballon 1, Grinrod 2. On Wednesday next tho club will hold another meeting and invites entries for half-mile and 2-mile cycle races; 75 and 440yds running, and for two events for boys.
