Scottish Society’s Enjoyable Ingleside
The Manawatu Scottish Society’s Inglcside, held in tho Cosmopolitan Hall on Wednesday evening, was a very jolly affair. The Pipe Band marched through tho streets to the hall, whero there was a good number present. Proceedings were entered upon by a waltz to tho bagpipes played by Pipers Scott and Godbaz. There were many visitors present. With the floor in perfect order and Bonner’s orchestra supplying old-time music, Mr. H. Hughes, the M.C., left little undone to ensure patrons of a very enjoyablo evening. Two appreciative song 3 were rendered by Miss B. Kelly, accompanied by the society’s honorary accompaniste, Miss I. Mcnhennet. After a tasty supper, which was under tho supervision of Mrs. Dench, the Pipe Band contributed selections. An extra waltz was kindly played by ALss T. Redwood. The Monto Carlo waltz, the prizes for which were donated by Miss AI. Fraser, was won by Miss M. Harland and Mr. T. Greer. A very enjoyable evening terminated at a late hour with the singing of “Auld Lang Syne” and the National Anthem.
