Wild, But Moderating Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. The intense disturbance at present covering the Dominion was to-day centred off tho Canterbury coast. A moderate anti-cyclone is now located over south-east Australia. Winds: South-westerly generally, and strong of gale force, but westerly at first in Cook Strait areas.

Seas (N.Z. waters): Heavy north of Farewell Spit and south of Castlepoint; elsewhere rough. Eastern Ta'sman Sea: Strong soutnerly winds to gales, with rough to heavy seas, but wind and sea gradually moderating. Weather: Still unsettled and boisterous, with occasional heavy showers in most districts and hail on parts of the coasts. Temperatures: Becoming colder. Conditions, however, moderating during tomorrow.
