Feilding Stock Sale
FAT SHEEP UNSTEADY
INQUIRY FOR BREEDING EWES
There was a large offering of 'sheep at the Feilding stock sale yesterday, when news of a fall in the export price of mutton caused the fat market to become unsteady. Fat ewes, however, sold rather well, while other fats experienced a slight decline. All store sheep lines met with a fairly strong sale, values being stronger from the competition. Beef was slow, operations being confined to female lines, which sold at late rates.
Dairy lines were unchanged and store cattle realised current market quotations.
