PUBLIC NOTICE 3s hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Kairanga County Council, held on Tuesday, the 12th clay of September, 1933, the following Resolution by way of Special Order was passed, and will be submitted for confirmation at the Ordinary Monthly . Meeting of the Council to bo held at the Council’s Office, Palmerston North, on Tuesday, the 10th day of October, 1933, at 10 a.m. THAT in pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it by the “Counties Act, 1920,” the “Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926,’’ and Section 6 of the “Main Highways Amendment Act, 1927,” and of all other Acts and Powers (if any) enabling it in that behalf, and in pursuance of the consent of the Governor-General in Council, given by Order-in-Council, made pursuant to the provisions of Section 11 of the “Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926,” dated the seventh day of August, 1933, and Gazetted in the New Zealand Gazetto on the 10th day of August, 1933, Number 56, at page 2013,! the Kairanga County Council hereby resolves by way of Special Order as follows: 1. THAT the Kairanga County Council proceed to raise a loan of Six thousand (£6000) pounds for the purpose of providing its proportion of the cost of the reconstruction of the Fitzherbert Bridge (including approaches thereto) over the Manawatu River on tho Palmerston North-Levin Main Highway, in the Kairanga County. 2. THAT such loan be called the “NEW FITZHEEBERT BRIDGE LOAN, 1933.” 3. THAT the currency of the said loan shall be for a period of Thirtysix and one half (361) years commencing on the Ist day of September, 1933, and maturing on the Ist Alarch, 1970. 4. THAT the interest on the said loan, shall be at the rate of Four pounds, fivo shillings (£4 5/-) per centum per annum and be payable halfyearly on the first day of March and September in each and every year. 5. THAT the form of security for payment. of principal and interest on the said loan shall be Sixty (60) Debentures of One hundred pounds (£100) each and relative coupons in a form in conformity with the provisions of the “Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926.” 6. THAT the Council doth hereby appropriate and pledge as security for the repayment of the said loan, and tho interest, sinking fund, and other charges thereon, the Special Rate of Twenty-eight ono thousandths (2S/.1000) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of tho unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of (he County of Kairanga. 7. THAT a Sinking Fund of One pound five shillings (£1 5/-) per centum per annum on the amount raised be established.
S. THAT the principal and interest moneys shall be payable at the Union Bank of Australia Ltd., Palmerston North. 9.
