‘•HOT PEPPER” Strikingly contrasted are the characters of Flagg and Quirt in “Hot Pepper,’' new Fox Film production, depicting tho latest adventures of the immortal Marines as portrayed hj Edmund Lowe and Victor McLagen. •*- n this hilarious comedy which opens .it the Tivoli Theatre to-day, Lows appears as the suave, urbane and smoothtaking cbiscler, while McLaglcn is excitable, savage and rough. Their activities in “Hot Pepper” find them out of uniform and in civilian dressfashion plates with silk hats. Though in an entirely new atmosphere as speakeasy owners, they arc still the lighting Flagg and Quirt, the characters originated by Laurence Stallings and Maxwell Anderson. They battle principally for the affections of “Pepper,” a brownlegged littlo firebrand discovered stowed away on one of Flagg’s rum boats. This role is portrayed by the flaming Lupc Velez. El Brendol, the Swedish, dialect comedian, also plays a featured role, and others prominent in the cast are Lilian Bond, Boothe Howard and. Gloria. Roy.
