Waituna Ratepayers
MEETING ON SATURDAY A meeting of ratepayers of the Ongo and Waituna Ridings in the Iviwiten County Council, is to be held in the Waituna hall on Saturday evening next, to discuss the new and old valuation. in regard to the land tax. Ongo and Waituna are the only two ridings which the Government is assessing on the old valuation, which is higher than the new valuation, the other seven Tidings in the county corniug under tho new, cheaper rate. It is hoped there will bo a big attendance, for the matter is most important to the residents in. the Ongo and AVaituna ridings.
