“Adorable” Is The Best Of All Screen Romances
JANET GAYNOR AND HENRY GARAT MAKE WINNING PAIR
Janet Gaynor and Henry Gar at will soon be seen in the new Pox romance, “Adorable,” and they have more than fulfilled the promise that the combination of two such stars carries. They must he put down as the screen’s most winning and most charming performers.
Tlie story through which thoir talents are revealed is just the thing for two stars of the magnitude of Miss Gaynor and Garat.
The plot is a whimsical one, of the variety which has made Miss Gaynor America’s most popular star, and Garat the premier player in Europe. With an accompaniment of specially created music and specially written songs, they reveal the best of two distinguished film figures. The music is by Werner Richard Hcymann, with songs and lyrics provided by Richard A. Whiting and George Marion, Jr. Tho “Adorable Waltz,” “My Heart’s Desire” and “My First Love to Last” are the three song-hits that arc bound to set the world humming. The supporting cast is an excellent one. It includes Herbert Mundin, (1 Aubrey Smith, Blanche Friderici, Stu art Holmes, Albert Conti, Ferdinand Scliumann-Heink, Barbara Leonard and Sterling Holloway.
The direction of Wilhelm Dieterle takes advantage of tho wealth of material in this picture to make a splendidly wholesome piece of entertainment.
