Tim McCoy Is Not A Stranger To The “Mike”
LATEST APPEARANCE IN PILM FOR KOSY TALKIES
Tim McCoy, noted delineator of Western roles, who is coming to the Kosy on Saturday in the first of a series of outdoor thrillers for Columbia Picture Corporation, is not a stranger to the movie "mike,” as he has already appeared -with much success in the first all-talking seri al, "The Indians Are Coming.” In "Shotgun Pass,” the title of his latest production, he is presented in a role that will endear him to all moviegoers.
McCoy, who holds the rank of Colonel in the American Army, has the reputation of being, perhaps, the best white authority in the world on the Indian sign language. Columbia in their search for talent for their new outdoor dramas chose Tim because of his undoubted versatility in Western roles. He can sit a horse when the animal is standing at what seems to be an impossible angle, shoot with deadly accuracy, and spin a rope like nobody's business.
Supporting him in "Shotgun Pass” is beautiful Virginia Lee Corbin, another Columbia "find,” who will certainly show excellent proof that the company is leaving no stone unturned in its search for fresh screen talent.
James Gleason has not sauntered farther than a stone’s throw from the stagg or a studio ever since ho was a baby. ❖ <s><•><*> During the making of "Strange Interlude” Norma Shearer stood for hours having a plaster cast made of her figure to have her many alluring gowns fitted on.
