Good Clearances at Sydney Wool Sales
GREASY MERINO MAKES ‘2ld (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received Tuesday, 9.35 p.m. SYDNEY, Oct. 3. At tho wool sales 11,320 bales were offered and 10,332 sold, in addition to 960 that were disposed of privately. Japanese and Continental sections operated strongly, and the market continued firm and unchanged at last week’s levels. Satisfactory clearances were effected. Greasy Merino made 21d for six bales from Boomi.
The average price of wool at Sydney last week was £l7 3/6 per bale, or 13d per pound.
