Pigeon Racing

A successful race was held from Frankton Junction over the week-end by the Manawatu Homing Pigeon Club. With a following wind and fine weather tho birds put up very fast velocities. The following wero the results: Mr. T. Inkpen’s Glowing, 1360.6 yds. per minute, 1; Mr. A. E. Marshall’s black chequer hen, 134. S yards, 2; Mr. N. Harvey's Non-nicer, 1344.2 yds., 3; Filford Lofts’s Lone Star, 1334.9 yds. 4; Mr. L. Purton’s All Red, 1333.5, 5. Eighty birds competed, the distance being 178 miles
