Mrs John Duncan, of Heretaunga, is to visit Mrs John Rollcston, of Te Kuiti. Later she will visit her mother, Mrs P. E. Baldwin, Palmerston North.

Miss Sylvia Wlalker, who has been tho guest of Mrs Walter Cameron, Te Ore Ore, has returned to her home at Bulls.

Mrs Frank Armstrong (Akiteo), who has been visiting hor sister, Miss D. iSpeedy, Palmerston North returned to Dannevirke on Tuesday accompanied by her sister.

Miss Annabelle Green, of London, arrived by the Wanganella on Saturday, and is the guest of Mrs Philip Myers, 96 Hobson street, Wellington. Miss Green’s father, who died at the age of 91, was vicar for 44 years in Ea.st Buddleigh Devonshire, of the church in which the arms of. Sir Walter Raleigh are hung. The vicar before was there for 40 years. Miss Green will return to England by the lonic.

The death, of Mrs Potcr Bell in her 98th year, at Wanganui on Sunday, severs a link with the early history of that district. Mrs Bell was born at Peterhead, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, iri February, 1536. She had the distinction. of being the oldest member of tho congregation of St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church. The late Mrs 801 l was tho last member of a band of Wanganui women who worked and presented to the natives of Wanganui a beautiful flag in. recognition of their defence of Wanganui at the Battle of Moutoa. The flag is known as the Moutoa Flag, and was for many years kept at the Alexander Museum.
