BANANAS FOR BEAUTY

Only a homely banana, but have yon ■realised its value as an aid to beauty? For instance, a few slices of -ripe banana added to the water in which the face is washed, before playing golf or tonnis, or before going out motoring, will prevent the skin from becoming unduly ted. That burning and tingling of the skin after exposure to wind disappears as by magic after rubbing with a slate of banana which has been soaked in lemon-water. Feet that become tender and aching will be greatly eased if rubbed with a blond of banana juice, olive oil, and a pinch of borax. First bathe the feet in tepid water, and dry gently. While the skin is still moist rab with a ripe banana smeared with olive oil; next add a trace of borax, and massage.
