WELLINGTON WOMAN’S DEATH. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Oct. 4. < i That deceased met death by drowning through taking a hot bath at her residence” was the verdict given by the Coroner, Mr Gilbertson, in the ease of Mrs Alma Maud Bell, of North-

land. _ Her husband said that in 192 b deceased underwent a major opeiation ■in-Melbourne and since then she continuously suffered from severe head

aches and visited various doctors ana - practitioners. While in Australia she -was in the habit of taking drugs and ; since her arrival in New Zealand she had been under medical care. On July 14th she started a course with a chiropractor and promised to stop taking drugs, but she continued to suffer from severe headaches and on one or two occasions appeared worse after visits to the chiropractor. She suffered from giddiness and swooning turns on occasions. Witness went on to say that his „ wife complained of a headache on the night of September 25th. She complained of the headache and at 11.25 took a bath in an attempt to ease it. Witness said he went to sleep and on waking at 6 a.m. saw his wife’s bed had not been slept in. Subsequently he found his wife dead in the bath with her head under water. Medical evidence was also given.
