Britain Sets Example in Disarmament
NEED POR INTERNATIONAL AGREEMENT British Official Wireless. Received Thursday, 7 p.m. RUGBY, Oct. 4. Sir John Simon and Captain Anthony Eden further discussed th'c disarmament position with the Prime Minister to-day. Speaking at a city luncheon, Sir John Simon urged that a too gloomy view of the international situation should not bo taken. There were qualities in the British policy which should contribute materially to a peaceful solution in disarmament. Britain hail set, an cxamplo and led tho way in reducing its own forces to a point which certainly could not justify a further reduction, but would call for international treatment and agreement if we were to feel secure. Disarmament Conference Bureau Convoked. MEETING ON OCTOBER 9 British Official Wireless. i RUGBY, Oct. 4. Mr Arthur Henderson has officially convoked the Bureau of the Disarmament Conference for October 9.
