City Band Holds Weekly Dance

There was an attendance of close upon 200 at the Oddfellows’ hall last Saturday night, the occasion being the City Band’s weekly dance, when a very enjoyable evening was spent by all present. The programme contained several competitions which were won by the following:—Mionte Carlo, Miss Gawler and Mr. Scobic; lucky Gay Gordons, Mrs. Eaton and Mr. South; Monte Carlo, Miss E. Eieily and Mr. Tirney; lucky door ticket, Mrs. Balloon, The music was supplied by a. professional orchestra, and Miss Conlan supplied several extras, Mr. W. G, Williamson made an efficient M.C, On Sunday afternoon last the members of the Palmerston North City Band rendered a delightful programme at the Hospital. It was appreciated by the inmates and tho many visitors present.
