COMPETITION WELL SUSTAINED United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. Received Thursday, 11 p.m. SYDNEY, Oct. 5. At the wool sales 12,722 bales were offered and 1.1,450 sold, in addition to 1126 privately disposed of. The market was very firm at the previous day’s levels for all descriptions. Competition was well sustained and there were good clearances. There was a very keen inquiry .for come-backs and crossbreds at late rates. Greasy Merino made 22d for eight bales from Gurley.
