The Spring Show
All indications to date ate that the 48th. Metropolitan Spring Snow to bo held at Palmerston North on November lst„ 2nd. and 3rd. will easily reach the high standard set by its predecessors. School entries have now closed and reach the splendid total of 2151, being 203 in excess of those of last year. This proves conclusively that the schools recogniso tho educative value to bo gained by exhibiting at the show. All entries in the needlework, home industries, photography and model aeroplane sections close to-morrow (Saturday, the 7th. inst.) and those who have not yet done so are requested to make a point of getting their entries in right away. Stud stock breeders are well catered for and liberal prize-money is offered for all classes of horses, cattle, sheep and pigs, entries for which close on Saturday, the 14th. inst. Those who have not yet received a schedule should make application to the ( secretary, Mr. W. T. Penny, P.O. Box 85, Palmerston North.
