London is embarking on a gigantic slum clearance scheme involving expenditure of £35,000,000, and providing for the rehousing of 250,000 people. The bulk of the displacements will be in the eastern boroughs of Stepney, Bethnal Green, and Shoreditch, where the lack of rehousing sites has always hindered progress. Serious Chances A re Taken in Neglecting Any Form Of Skin Irritation. Any person takes serious chances who neglects any sign of skin diseases, for skin troubles have a tendency to spread,-and there is also danger of becoming chronic, besides being difficult to cure. Tbe safest remedy for any form of skin irritation is Doan’s Ointment. In using it there is no detention from daily occupation, and the many cures made by it have made it famous in every corner of the world. Bead this case: Mrs. A. Hutchins, who lives in Palmerston North, says: “I used Doan’s Ointment on my child for a very irritating rash, and also for a running sore •on her ear, which would not heal. I had previously tried several other remdies, but none of them did her the slightest good. After applyDoan’s Ointment for a few days the irritation eased considerably, and in a very short time the rash had disappeared. The sore was also yielding to the same treatment, and before I had finished one pot of this ointment it had healed completely. I cannot speak too highly of this grand remedy; its healing and soothing powers are marvellous, and I shall never be without it in the house.” Some years later, Mrs. Hutchins says: “I am still a great believer in Doan’s Ointment and recommend it whenever opportunity offers.” Doan’s Ointment is sold by all chemists and storekeepers. Foster-McClellan Co., Proprietors, 15 Hamilton Street, Sydney. But, be sure you get DOAN’S.
