At the wool sales 13,671 bales were offered and 13,033 sold, in addition to ISIS that were privately disposed of. The market had a distinctly bettor tone and competition covered a wide area, chief support coming from Japan, the Continent and Yorkshire. Values wore firm at tho closing rates last week. Greasy merino made 233 d for five bales from Boomi. Tho average price last week was £l6 3s 2d a bale, or 12.3 d per pound.
