Foxton Talkies

"The Phantom President,” Paramount's political comedy featuring George M. Cohan, Claudette Colbert and Jimmy Durante, screens at the Fox ton. Town Hall to-night. It is Cohan’s first laiking picture, though ho has been a prominent personality on Iho American stage for three decades. The picture deals with an election campaign, in which tho behind scenes wire-pullers select a candidate well equipped for the job, but lacking the personality to win votes. Stumped and about to drop him as a personality, they suddenly change their minds when they discover a medicine-showman, practically oozing personality, who is an exact double for iheir man. They press him into service to impersonate the candidate and win votes, and soon it looks like a walk-away, so well does he succeed.
