Loyal Manawatu Juvenile Lodge
The half-yearly installation of officers of tho Loyal Manawatu Lodge was held on Friday night, when there was an attendance of over 90 children and adults. Six candidates were initiated. The major officers were installed by Bro. S. J. Watson, P.D.G.M., while Sis. A. Munro installed the minor officers.
The officers were as follow: 1.P.N.G., Sis. L. McMillan; N.G., Bro. S. Munro; L.M., Sis. S, Jane; N.G., Bro. H. Wilson; E.S., Sis. J. Leeks; R.S.N.G., Bro. A. Rodgers; L.S.N.G., Sis. N. 'Summers; S.W., Bro. F. Clark; J.W., Bro. N. Turner; R.S.V.G., Bro. P. Clark; L.S.V.G., Bro. D. Price; S.C., Sis. B. Bruce; J.C., Sis. C. Jane; 1.G., Sis. A. Johnson.
Bro. A. Da wick presented Bro. H. Jane with the Sweetman cup for securing the most new members, while Bro. H. Sharman presented the competition prizes won by Sis. L. Turner and Bro. S. Wright for singing and Sis. M. Christiansen and Bro. M. Richmond for recitation. The games shields were won by Bluebirds and Phoenix teams respectively and were presented by Bro. E. Jane.
After the closing of the lodge items were given by Sis. M. ChristianseD, L. Turner, L. McMillan, B. Bruce and Bros. S. Wright, M. Richmond, E. Price and K. Newlands. A very pleasant evening was brought to a close by the partaking of a dainty supper provided by the adult sisters of the lodge.
