Feilding Lunch Club

ADDRESS ON EEW GARDENS Ladies were present in largo numbers at the Feilding Civic Club luncheon yesterday when Dr. Allen delivered an interesting lecture on Kcw Gardens, supported by lantern slides. The gardens, said the doctor, were the Mecca of all botanists, and when lie visited this famous resort much of his time had been spent in checking up the arrangement of the New Zealand section. The flora of every country in the world was represented at. these famous gardens, whero plant life was made a, special study of. The views exhibited by the lecturer enabled those present to gain sorno slight acquaintance with the wonders of Kew. Mr. Thos. Watson, president, presided, and at tho conclusion of the address Dr. Allen was accorded the thanks of the gathering on the motion of the Mayoress (Mrs C. E. Taylor) and Mrs A. C. McCorkindale.
