Dor tho- season ended in May last, tho Royal Life-Saving Society has made the following awards to candidates in tho district:—

Hokowhitu School. —11 primary certificates, 43 elementary certificates, 15 proficiency certificates, 1 teacher’s certificate; total, 100 awards.

Central School. —0 primary, 0 elementary, 8 proficiency; total 20. West End School. —22 primary, 10 elementary, 11 proficiency; total 43. Terrace . End School. —9 bronzo medallions; total 9.

Dannevirkc North School.—ll elementary; total 11. Technical School.—4 proficiency, 14 bronze medallions, 5 bars to bronze medallions, 1 teacher's certificate; total 24.

Palmerston North Boys’ High School. —S elementary, 9 proficiency, 9 bronzo medallions, 1 bar to bronze medallion, 1 instructor’s certificate; total 28.

' Girls’ High School. —2 elementary I proficiency, S . bronze medallions, 2 teachers’ certificates, 1 instructor's certificate; total 14. Foxton Surf and Life-Saving So-cio-tv. —10 elementary, 10 proficiency, II bronzo medallions, 9 surf medallions, 1 instructor’s certificate; total 41. Manchester Street School. —34 primary; total 34. Milson School.—s. primary; total 5. Foxton District High School. —9 elementary, 9 proficiency, 8 bronze medallions;, total 20. College Street School.—2s primary, S elementary, 13 proficiency, 5 bronze medallions; total 54. Central Swimming Club.—2 bars to awards of merit; total 2.
