Yet Another Success From British Studios Scheduled

“SALLY BISHOP” IS TO STAR HAROLD HUTH AND JOAN BARRY

In “Sally Bishop,” the British studios show that they excel in drama as well as comedy. Therefore Palace fans will watch for the screening of this picture on Wednesday next when it begins at the city’s “British house.”

This latest production is even more charmingly presented than “The Faithful Heart” or “Michael and Mary,” which were perhaps the best pictures previously shown in this particular field.

Concerning “Sally Bishop,” one critic writes: “One of the best pictures I have seen this year —Joan Barry and Harold Huth are wonderful—-they do not act, they live their roles. It is a film I shall- always remember, and so will you.” The Otago Daily Times, writing of its success in Dunedin recently, says: “Tho best-acted film which has been seen, in Dunedin for many a day is a British Dominions Films’ reproduction of Temple Thurston’s famous book, 'Sally Bishop,’ with Joan Barry and Harold Huth —the unforgettable leads of 'The Outsider in the star roles. Joan Barry could not bo excelled, and Harold Huth is outstanding. It is a truc-to-life story, containing the intangible ‘something that appeals to everyone.”
