Germany Net to Re-arm

Conversations on. the disarmament question were continued at Geneva today, and this afternoon tho leading British, French, and United States delegates had a meeting lasting for about an hour. According to Geneva Press messages, it was stated at tho conclusion that a complete agreement had been readied that rc-arming by Germany during the perliminary period to bo provided for by tho proposal disarmament convention would not bo countenanced. M. Paul-Boncour is returning to Paris to-night to report to his Government. Length of Probationary Period Kceived Thursday, 9.40 p.m. LONDON, Oct. 12. The French correspondent of the Daily Telegraph at Geneva, says that Sir John Simon thinks that a two-year probationary period is sufficient, ■Would Precipitate An Armament Pace FAILURE OF 1935 NAVAL CONFERENCE Received Thursday, 7 p.m. TOKIO, Oct. 11. M. Wakatsuki declared that failure of the naval conference in 1935 would procipitato a new Japanese-American armament race, which would bo disastrous to Japan.
