HIGHER VALUES PREVAIL. The New Zealand Fanners’ Cooperative Distributing Co., Ltd., report having received tho following cable advice from their London office: “Wool sales closed to-day, and prices compared with the closing rates of tho last series were: —Merino greasy, good to super 7-1 per cent, up to It) per cent, up; merino greasy, low to medium, 7 to 7& per cent, up; merino scoured ,good to super), (and merino scoured, low to medium, 5 per cent. U£i; greasy lino crossbreds, 74 to 10 per .cent, up; greasy medium crossbreds, 10 to 15 per cent, up; greasy coarse crossbreds, 10 per cent, up; scoured line crossbcrds, sto 7 A per cent, up; medium and coarse, 5 per cent, up; slipes, line 5 to 7-J 3per cent, up, medium and coarse 71 to 10 per cent. up. Tho closing values were: For merino, greasy good to super, the demand was equal to higher retail values; merino greasy low to medium, Is to Is 3Ad; merino secure, good to super, 'ls lid to Us 3d; merino scoured, low to medium, Is 5d to Is 0d; greasy tine crossbreds, Is Id to Is 43d; greasy mediumcrossbreds, SKI to 101-d; greasy coarse crossbreds, Old to 7£d; scoured fine crossbreds, Is 5d to 2s; scoured medium crossbreds, lid to Is 3d; scoured coarse crossbreds, 7d to lOd; slipes, lino Is to Is 4Ad; slipes, medium, SUI to Is OJd; slipes, coarse, Old to lOd. The total sold was 138,000 bales; to Home trade, 7.1,000 bales; to Continent, 0-3,000 bales; to America, 2000 bales; carried forward, 39,000 bales.”
