Recital
PARISH HALL, FEILDING. Feilding music-lovers will bo provided with an exceptionally interesti ing programme of vocal and instrumental items on Wednesday October 18, in the Feilding Parish Hall. The Misses B. and V. Blamires will give a recital of piano and violin selections covering classical and modern compositions, and will be assisted by Mr Will Hutchens, of Wanganui, tenor vocalist. Miss Betty Blamires, L.A.8., L.T.C.L., is a pianistc whose artistry is perhaps better known in Otago than in Feilding, but already in her short residence in this district she has Avon golden opinions. She is a gold mcdalliste in Trinity College examinations .and has Avon several open sections in competition Avork in Dunedin. In addition to her pianoforte items, she will contribute two elocutionary selections. Miss A 7 ivienno | Blamires, L.A.8., is a young violimste of great promise, probably the youngest. A'ioliniste in Ncav Zealand who is a licentiate of the Academy Board. In tho one public appearance on the concert- platform she has made in Feilding she ivas most enthusiastically received, and had to respond to a double encore. Mr Will Hutchens, Mus.B., who has tho diploma of the Academy, London, is well known throughout New Zealand. Conductor of Trinity Church choir and of the Wanganui Orchestra, ho has been in great demand as a competition judge in vocal and instrumental music. Possessed of a strong tenor voice of beautiful tone, he is sure to please. It is some years since his previous appearance in Feilding, and his renewal of acquaintance with musical circles in. Feilding is looked forward to with high anticipations.
