A badly injured hand was suffered by Arnold Ward, painter, of 22 Bourke street, city, when he was filling some oil bottles yesterday. He was pressing a cork down tightly when the bottle burst injuring his hand severely. He was taken to hospital and last night his condition was satisfactory.
