Apiti Stock Sale

It is some time since a stock sale was held in Apiti. However, the one on Tuesday attracted a good attendance of buyers and interested spectators to the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company’s sale yards. Cattle and horses sold well at current rates. There was a good demand for ewes and lambs which changed hands at the following prices: Good b.f. lambs, 20s

sd, 19s 7d, 19s 6d, 18s 3d; aged ewes, 25s 9d; small b.f. lambs, 17s Cd; 16s 7d, 15s 2d; good w.f. wether lambs, 20s Id, 19s; small ewe lambs, 225; cull lambs, 13s 3d, 13s, 12s 6d; a few small 2th ewes sold at 345.
