No Negotiations to Lift Trade Restrictions
BUT PURSUING POLICY OUTLINED IN SEPTEMBER. (British Official Wireless.) Received Wednesday, 7.30 p.m. RUGBY, Jan. 26. Questioned in the House of Commons, the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Mr. Neville Chamberlain, said no actual negotiations at present were taking place for the relaxation of the trade restrictions as a result of the Anglo-French-United States currency agreement o£ last September, but the Government would continue to keep contact with thb other Governments concerned, an J every opportunity would be taken to promote the policy set out in the September agreement.
