Elderly Doctor Kidnapped
GRAVE CONCERN AS TO HIS SAFETY. United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. Received Wednesday, 9.50 p.m. WILLOW SPRINGS, Feb. 3. The Missouri authorities have disclosed that Dr. J. B. Davis, aged 67, who disappeared a week ago, was kidand held for 5000 dollars ransom. The family received a note in the physician’s handwriting stating that ransom was demanded. The authorities refused to discuss the case but learned that Dr. Davis's medicine case was found in the rivcV, causing grave concern as to whether he has been slain.
