Mrs. A. Biixt accompanied by her son and daughter, Gordon and Betty, were week-end visitors to Pahiatua. Mr. fc>. A. Matthews, formerly of and latterly of .the staff of Ramsay and Campbell, Palmerston North, has taken a position with Messrs. Harveys, of Hastings. Mrs. Andrew Pringle, who is on a motor tour of the South Island with her son and relatives, is in hospital at Cromwell. A telegraphic message received in Pahiatua on Saturday stated that their car had been in an accident and that Mrs. Pringle had the misfortune to sustain a broken arm. Messrs. Russ Merrie, C. He Compte, Gainey and Claude McCardle returned on Saturday morning after a fishing trip to Taupo. Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Hartley, who have been on vacation in North Auckland, returned home on Saturday morning.
