Mangaweka Ewe Fair

Tho N.Z. Farmers' Co-op. Distributing Co., Ltd., report an exceptionally heavy entry of owes at tho above Fair on Thursday, tho yard accommodation being fully taxed. Tho majority of the ewes came forward in excellent condition and outside buyors were in attendance from Waikato, Taranaki, Manawatu, and all partß of Rangitikei. Tho market generally was inclined to be erratic and at times was difficult to follow, but all the well kuo&n lines sold well up to recent bales and competition was koon on anything outstanding. Buyers apparently wero quite prepared to pay good prices but insisted on quality combined with good mouths. There wero several lines passed at auction, especially in tho older class of ewe, but a good number of theso wero disposod of as tho sale progressed. A feature of tho sale was the keon competition on the 2-tooths of whiSi thoro were several lines of outstanding quality, and Mr W. Davidson topped tho market in this section with tho record price of 565. Taken all round tho sale must bo considered very satisfactory. The Railway Department wero in attendance and gave overy assistance in providing trucks. Somo of tho principal sales wero as follows:
