Chinamen Caught in a Loft

FINED FOR OPIUM SMOKING. Per Press Association AUCKLAND, Feb. 12. Caught smoking opium in the loft of a stable, two Chinese appeared in the Police Court this morning. Ah Soo, for being found in the possession of propared opium, was fined the minimum of £25, while Ah Wing, for being found on premises used for opium smoking, was fined £ls. Counsel for accused said both men were opium addicts and hard workers, who were smoking for relaxation.
