The appointment of a woman sports organiser by the P. and O. Company; for the various cruises made by their liners, opens up yet another vocation for women, and Miss Margaret McßoD* ert, a young Australian, is filling the post with success. She is on the Sydney staff of the company, and much of her time is spent in transferring from one ship to another when making pleasure cruises to New Zealand, Fiji, New Guinea, Noumea, or some other selected destination. Miss Mcßobert works in conjunction with one of the male officials of the company and an assistant, but the bring together and rounding up of the passengers and general social activities are left to her feminine tact and persuasiveness.
BAD CASE OF GOITRE Mrs M. H——, Tuahiwi, was in such a bad state with goitre that her doctor advised an operation. She decided to give Thyrodone a trial. The results were astounding. She began to feel better, the goitre became reduced, the choking feeling disappeared, and the doctor advised an operation was unnecessary. Finally the goitre disappeared. Thyrodone is sold at 4/6 by J. R. Wood Ltd., and other Chemists.
