“Garden and Bathroom” Afternoon
PARTY FOR “A BRIDE-ELECT.’* Miss Ailsa Turner was the guest of honour at a “bathroom and garden” afternoon yesterday given by Mrs E. C. Barnett, at her residence, Fitzherbert Avenue. Tho floral decorations of the rooms were delightfully carried out with dahlias, roses and unonymons berries and a very pleasant time was spent with games and competitions. Mrs Barnett received her guests wearing a black georgette frock and was assisted by Miss Joan Barnett in a frock of green floral silk. Miss Turner’s pretty frock was of navy figured silk with which she wore a navy hat. After a delicious afternoon tea had been enjoyed Miss Turner was called upon to open her numerous parcels, later expressing her thanks. Those present Were Mesdames Walter Turner, Walter Fell, J. R. Wood, L. K. Andrews, Misses Isobol Fell, K. and B. Birnie, S. and A. Collins, M. Wilson, P. Carter, V. Wood, I. Wood, P. Barnett and Overton.
