Sealing of Awahuri Road

AUTOMOBILE ASSOCIATION INTERESTED. The question of the sealing of Awahuri road and Stewart’s line was mentioned at the meeting in Feilding last evening of the executive of the Wanganui Automobile Association when the president, Mr A. S. Burgess expressed surprise that these highways were not tar-sealod. He felt that the association should offer to assist in furthering the claim for the sealing of these roads. It was explained that Feilding interests had represented the necessity for the sealing of these roads but there had been considerable delay. However, there were indications that something was about to be done. The executive agreed to take the matter up with the Manawatu Automobile Association with the object of representing the position to the Main Highways Board throughout the Nortn Island motor union.
