A silver jewel-case for their infant daughter has been presented to Mr. and Mrs. T. C. A. Hislop by members of the Wellington City Council. A gathering of members of the council was held in the committee-room at the Town Hall and the presentation was made to the mayor by Cr. M. F.. Luckie. Cr. Luckie said it was unusual for a child to be born to a mayor j in office, and the presentation was made to show the goodwill of the councillors toward the mayor and as an earnest of good wishes for him and his family.
