Revue Stars Play To Crowded House
THREE HOURS OF FUN MAKING. Continuing on their winning way the Connors and Faul Ail Star Kevue Company presented an entirely new programme to an audience that filled every part of the Opera House last evening, spontaneous applause greeting each and every offering. With such a galaxy of talent and feast of divertissements it is impossible to particularise, but the inimitable George Wallace is a show m himself and his every appearance was a signal for roars of laughter whether engaged in a boxing bout, iu sketches, iu musical numbers, tap dancing, or painting "red sails in the sunset." The "Sunknssed Beauties" and their attendants were seen iu scintillating ballets, notably "Poet and Peasant ’’ and “Top Hat, White Tie and Tails"; Mr. Leo Trenette, the silver-voiced tenor, delighted with his tuneful ballads; Miss Minnie Love scored a notable success with her screen star impersonations as did Miss Nelle Kolle, in male impersonations, and Miss Queenie Paul and Mr. Mike Connors gave pleasing diversion with patter duets. Mr. Jimmy Coates proved himself a clever saxophonist and there were numerous sketches, adagio and acrobatic dances all combining to make a jolly good show, with an excellent orchestra under the direction of Mr. Ern. Beachain. The season concludes this evening when an entirely new programme will be presented.
