At the Foresters' Hall on Tuesday evening a 500 and bridge party organised by the W.D.F.U., was held, being well attended. The 500 was controlled by Mr. Casey and the winners of the ten games played were Mrs. George and Mr. Butler, the ladies' prize being presented by Messrs. Redfern and Allardice and the men's by McDuff's. The bridge was won by Miss Pinckney, aud the hidden number by Mrs. Crommelin, both prizes being presented by Mrs. McLeod. An appetising supper was served after play had concluded. A competition for an order presented by Messrs. Williams and Kettle was won by Mr. L. M. Espagne and re-donated by him to the fund. Thanks were expressed by the president, Mrs. Whibley, for the patronage accorded to the donors of prizes, and to Messrs. Casey, Reynolds and the hall caretaker for assistance rendered by them-
