Bride-to-be Honoured At Kitchen Evening
(Special to “Times.”) NAPIER, Feb. 38. Miss E. Bonisch, Fort Ahunn, whe is to be married shortly, was the guest of honour recently at a kitchen evening given by Miss jVi. Downing, whe is to be her bridesmaid, at her parents’ home in Hasting*. The sitting room was tastefully decorated with bowls oi hydrangeas, sweet peas and marigolds. The evening passed away cheer!ully with friendly conversation and competitions, which were won Oy Misses Al. Lys, E. Bouisch and P. PirnJey, all oi whom received a dainty gilt. Miss E. Bonis* b was also th® recipient of a “mystery ’ parcel, the content* of which caused much amusement. After a dainty savoury supper had been handed'round the guest-of-honoui was called upon to open her many parcels which when unwrapped revealed a very useful assortment lor her future kitchen. Aliss Downing received her guest* wearing a frock of marina blua unerushable tnarocain. Miss Bonisch woe attired in a dainty floral frock. Those present were: Mesdames A. Downing and J. Kelly, AJisseg AI. Downing, K. Bonisch, M. and E. Bateman, N. Hill, M. O’Connor, P. and V. i*imley, Al. Lys and O. aud I. William* son.
