ST. BRIG ID’S CLUE MEETING Speaking to the annual report of iSt. Brigid’s Tennis Club at the annual meeting on Wednesday evening the Rev. Father Broughton said that the financial position was satisfactory as the club had little iu the way of liabilities and debentures owing amounted to only £27. It was the aim of the club to extend its facilities to members as finances pormitted. Ho recommended that steps be taken to build up a fund to enable improvements to be carried out without hardship. He congratulated the committee and the secretary (Miss P. Macßeyuolds) ou the efficient manner in which tlie affairs of the club had been conducted. Proceeding to the election of officers (published in yesterday’s “Times”), Father Broughton referred to the absence on military service of. Mr P. Delchantv, president of the club. While all missed him very much members, he was sure, were very proud of Mr. Delchanty’s action iu offering his services. Lieut. Delelianty had the good w ishes Of all and the speaker knew that he would follow with interest the welfare of the club. The meeting placed on record its appreciation of his services to the club. A letter was received from Lieut. Delelianty extending good wishes to the club and indicating that ho hoped to visit the courts during the season. Owing to her impending departure to Wellington Miss Macßeynolds intimated that she would not be able to carry on in the office of secretary, Mr. T.
