Coming-of-age Party at Feilding

Mr. and Mrs. B. Hobday gave a very jolly coming-of-age j)arty in the Women’s Division rooms, Feilding, on Saturday, in honour of their daughter Ngaire. Attractive decorations incorporating streamers in shades of lemon and blue and a wealth of bright spring flowers transformed tho room, where dancing was indulged in to music supplied by Mr. A. Wright. Mrs. Hobday received her guests attired in a frock of slate blue challise, her daughter assisting attractively gowned iin Dutch girl blue taffeta. Among the guests were visitors from Welliugton, Carterton, Marton, Rongotea, Pobarigina, Colyton and Bunnythorpe, while representatives of the Air Foice, Army and Fleet Air Arm were present. Following the serving of supper, the handsome birthday cake in lemon and blue was cut and the usual toasts honoured.

The guest of honour received tho traditional gold key, this bearing the autographs of tho guests. Several items were rendered by Mr. D. McFarland.
