DEATH OF PRINCESS ROYAL
EXPIRES SUDDENLY WHILE ASLEEP (British Official Wireless) RUGBY, 4th January. The Princess Royal, the King’s eldest sister, who has been an invalid for some time, died suddenly from heart failure in her sleep this afternoon in the presence of her daughters, Princess Arthur of Connaught and Lady Maud Carnegie. She was sixty-four years ol age. She was declared the Princess Royal in 1905 and married in 1889 the Duke of Fife, who died in 1912.
