Although the notices reducing the Ruhr miners’ wages 8 per cent, will not operate till the 15th January, 22 mines have been idled, believed due to Communist propoganda in favour of immediate cessation of work.
Bands of young Communists allegedly desecrated inscriptions on headstones in Bochum ccmet.ery and smashed windows of hotels in which Fascists aro staying.
The police have strengthened their forces in pit districts believing that the Communists are planning a reign of terror throughout the Ruhr, as a counterblast to the Fascists’ election successes.
