NATIONAL INDUSTRIAL BOARD REFUSED BY THE OWNERS (Received Bth January. 1.45 p.m.) LONDON, 7th January. Mr MacDonald speaking at Seaham Harbour, said in reference to the coal trouble: “The Government does not want any dispute at present, hut it is not going to interfere in any way which would make injustice a condition of peace. The owners have not accepted the national industrial board which the Government considers essential to the reorganisation of the coal industry, and have thereby set a very bad example.”
