mu TY7 New York ’ Jan. 3. The Washington corerspondent of the •‘New York Times” says Major-Gene-ral Hershey has acceded to Mr Bvrnes’s request on behalf of Preident Roosevelt to draft farm workers. The State draft directors have been instructed to re-examine all deferred farm workers aged 18 to 25. This will affect 364.000 men. Mr Byrnes said Army and Navy demands for men would exhaust the eligibles in the 18 to 25 group at an early date.
