RABBITS

And on the green the., sometimes play Until old Tim comes bounding past, And in their burrows they fly so fast. Did you hear about the man who:— Knocked on the lamp-post because there was a light upstairs and he knew someone was home? Took cream and sugar to the movies because he heard there was a serial? Took his bike to bed so that he wouldn’t have to walk in his sleep? Moved to the city because he heard the country was at war? • Took a ruler to bed to see how long he slept? Brought a ladder to a party because he heard the drinks were on the house? Threw a cow over the cliff so that he could hear the jersey bounce? Greased himself before he went to bed because he wanted to wake up “oiley?” Went in the greenhouse to find a defence plant.
