ON NEW YEAR’S DAY
(Original) On New Year’s Day we went for a picnic And all day long we had a good frolic. Wc had jellies and cakes Of all different makes. Then as we went home We met a young gnome. Who said “Safe going”; But the wind was blowing So he went inside There to abide. Murray Pctterson (10 years), Takaka.
